Private-label tiles, feasibility first

Thinking about selling tiles under your own brand? As your supplier, we start by checking what our partner manufacturers can actually do — cartons, labels, product codes, minimums — before anything is promised or printed.

01Your situation

Own brand is attractive. The details decide it.

A private-label range can strengthen your position in your market — if the packaging, codes and quality behind it stay consistent.

Identity and margin

Your own brand builds customer loyalty to you, not to a factory name you can’t control.

Packaging minimums

Printed cartons usually need minimum quantities and extra lead time; labels on plain cartons can be another route.

More than one factory

A range may come from several partner factories, each with its own carton sizes, marking practices and printing options.

Compliance on the box

Labelling and product information must meet your market’s rules — and match the manufacturer’s test data.

02What we handle

Feasibility, checked on your behalf

We work between your brand team and the manufacturer, so questions are answered before money is spent.

  • Brief capture

Brand, markets, product range, volumes and packaging expectations, in one structured brief.

  • Factory feasibility check

Which of our partner factories can supply your range with branded cartons or labels, and on what conditions.

  • Artwork coordination

Passing your artwork and the partner factory’s carton layout back and forth, with proofs for your approval.

  • Product codes and marking

Your codes mapped to the factory’s codes, with shade and calibre still marked on every carton.

  • Samples and proofs

Product samples and, where feasible, carton proofs before production.

  • Written confirmation

Packaging, minimums, costs and timeline stated in the quotation.

Signature process · Carton & branding feasibility

Five steps from idea to carton

  1. 1

    Brief

Your brand, markets, range and approximate volumes.

  2. 2

    Feasibility

Partner factories confirm what’s possible — cartons, labels, codes, minimums.

  3. 3

    Artwork & proof

Your artwork placed on the partner factory’s carton layout, with a proof for approval.

  4. 4

    Samples

Product samples and, where feasible, a carton sample.

  5. 5

    Confirmation

Packaging, costs and timeline stated in the quotation — before you commit.

03What to send us

Start with a short brand brief

Approximate numbers are fine at this stage. The aim is to find out quickly whether — and how — your idea is feasible.

05What needs factory confirmation

What we never assume

Confirmed in writing, case by case

Private label is where over-promising is most tempting. These points are only treated as possible once a partner factory confirms them.

  • Custom carton printing — depends on the partner factory, quantities and lead time
  • Branding on the tile itself or its back — never assumed; only if a partner factory confirms
  • Exclusive designs or territories — only with a partner factory’s written agreement
  • Brand registration and trademark protection in your markets — your responsibility; we don’t give legal advice
  • Labelling rules in your market — to be confirmed by you or your compliance adviser
  • Technical claims printed on cartons — must match the manufacturer’s test reports

06Questions buyers ask

Private-label questions

Can you print our logo on the cartons?

Often this is possible with partner manufacturers, subject to minimum quantities, artwork and lead time. For smaller volumes, labels on plain cartons may be a practical alternative. What is feasible is confirmed per partner factory and stated in the quotation.

Can we have exclusive designs for our market?

Exclusivity is a commercial agreement with the manufacturer, not something we can grant on our own. We can ask on your behalf, and anything agreed is put in writing before you rely on it.

Whose name appears on the packaging?

That depends on your market’s labelling rules, which may require manufacturer, importer or origin details. Confirm the requirements with your compliance adviser; we coordinate what the partner factories can print or label accordingly.

Can you supply tiles under my own brand?

Private label is assessed case by case. Feasibility depends on the partner factory, carton printing and labelling options, minimum quantities for custom packaging, and your order volume. We check with the partner factories what is possible — for example branded cartons, labels or your own product codes — before anything is promised.

Can I get samples before ordering?

Yes, samples can usually be arranged for shortlisted products. Sample and courier charges — and whether any of it is adjusted against a later order — are agreed with you in advance.

Keep in mind that a sample shows the design and finish; production batches can vary in shade. Where consistency is critical, agree an approved reference sample before production. See our sample approval process.
