How Thorson Tiles handles the information you share when you enquire — in plain English.
In short: we only receive the information you choose to send us, we use it to answer your enquiry and handle your order, and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who we are
This website is operated by Thorson Tiles (“Thorson Tiles”, “we”, “us”), a tile supply and export business based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
What this website does
This is an information and enquiry website. It has no user accounts, no online shop and no online payments. You can read about our products and services, and you can send us an enquiry using our quote form, quick contact form or callback form.
Information you give us
We only receive personal information when you choose to contact us — for example through a quote request, email, WhatsApp, phone or a meeting. This usually includes:
- your name, company, role or business type and country;
- your email address and phone or WhatsApp number;
- details of your requirement, such as products, sizes, quantities, destination, Incoterm and timing;
- anything else you choose to include in your message.
How our enquiry forms work. When you press “Send enquiry” on the quote form, “Send message” on the quick contact form or “Request a callback” on the callback form, the details you enter are sent directly to Thorson Tiles and stored in Salesforce, the customer relationship management (CRM) system we use to manage enquiries. If you choose WhatsApp instead, nothing is sent from the website: your enquiry reaches us only when you press send in WhatsApp.
How we use your information
We use the information you send us to:
- reply to your enquiry and ask follow-up questions;
- prepare options, samples and quotations;
- coordinate with manufacturing partners, logistics providers and inspection agencies where this is needed for your enquiry or order;
- manage an order and keep business records, including records we must keep by law.
We share product requirements with manufacturing partners to check availability and prepare quotations. We share your contact details with third parties only where this is needed for your enquiry or order, or where the law requires it.
We will only send you occasional updates — for example about new ranges — if you have opted in. You can opt out at any time.
Cookies and browser storage
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
The quote form saves your progress in your browser’s session storage, so you don’t lose your answers if you move between pages. This information stays on your device, is not sent to us, and is deleted when you close the browser tab.
A “Request a callback” box appears once on some pages. Your browser’s local storage remembers when it last appeared and whether you have sent us an enquiry, so it doesn’t keep coming back. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us.
The website does not currently use analytics. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in future, we will update this policy first.
Third-party services
Enquiries sent from this website are stored in Salesforce, the customer relationship management system we use to manage enquiries. Salesforce acts as our service provider and may store data on servers outside your country.
If you contact us by email or WhatsApp, your message is handled by that service as well as by us, and its own privacy policy applies. Links to Google Maps open Google’s service, which is subject to Google’s privacy policy.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry information for as long as it is useful for the enquiry and any business relationship that follows, and longer only where we must keep records for legal, tax or accounting reasons. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
International transfers
We are based in India and work with buyers in other countries. If you contact us from outside India, your information will be processed in India and, where needed for your order, shared with partners in the countries involved in the shipment.
Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to ask for access to your personal information, to correct or delete it, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. These rights may come from India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the EU or UK GDPR, or other laws that apply to you.
To make a request, contact us by email at hello@thorsontiles.com, or by post to the address below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive personal information that we have not asked for.
For your protection, always confirm our bank details through a second, known channel before making any payment.
